Of all the project requests I had while renting my studio space, this was--by far--the most fun, engaging and challenging. A dear friend from my college days asked for a picture of a cowboy for her brother's birthday. He's a big John Wayne and Clint Eastwood fan. And she asked that I add his name to the image, as I've done on other prints.

Obviously, some parts of the image work better than others. But I'm pleased with how it turned out and, more importantly, with what I learned (what I'd do differently "next" time, how I might better "personalize" it, what I'd have to do to offer it as a print to a broader audience, &c).

(Pencils inked with Micron pens and colored with Prismacolor markers, pencils and some White-Out pen/Doc Martin's opaque white. No PS whatsoever!)
